You Can't Help Everyone, But You Can Help Someone.

John Silverberg

This past Sunday we heard heartfelt stories from the latest mission trip to Uganda, lead by John and Kim Silverberg for the past 14 years. Kim reminded us of Jesus’ words found in Luke 12:48. We are held responsible for what God has given us. We are called to spread the gospel and help those in need.
John, an elder at Calvary Chapel Troy delivered a message about how we can get out of our comfort zone and do what God commands of us. John took us into God’s word through various scriptures found in Philippians, Romans, Matthew, Isaiah, Psalms and Ephesians during his teaching. He gave us 7 questions to ask ourselves concerning if we were in our comfort zone. As well as 5 helpful ways for us to get out of it.

Johns message concluded with an important statement of truth. If we partner with God and do His will, we will get out of our comfort zone. In doing so we will fulfill Gods commands, further His kingdom, and keep and protect His word for His name sake.
